Well, today, Easter Sunday, April 4 2010 marks the one year mark in our official wait for our referral for Makeda. When we started this process, we never thought it would take this long nor that we would have to hit so many change bumps along the way. The latest BIG change is that Ethiopia is now requiring two trips to their country for the adoption process. The first is to appear in court, the second is to bring her home. This news is so new that time frames and the like have yet to be developed, but it is supposed to be implemented in mid May. Sigh. It is very frustrating to hit another hurdle that will add even more time until we bring her home as well as an incredible amount of additional cost. The only peace to be found (and the only peace that really matters) is that which God provides. He sees all, He knows all and He will provide all. He knows who she is and has set the perfect time when she will become ours (even if she has a sibling or not) and that brings a big Hallelujah . We wait expectantly with hopeful hearts that we will hear soon. We love you Keda girl!
